Regular outdoor education teachers can use worksheets as:
- a ready lesson activity, for both regular classes & extras
- homework
- work left for replacement teachers
- work left for students who are unable to go on excursion (e.g. due to injury)
- inclusions in camp handbooks
- the basis of a theory activity during camp (e.g. at night, instead of, or in addition to journal writing or a guest speaker)
- a cue for safety briefings (e.g. "Safety around rockfaces")
- the basis of quizzes in class or during camp (with great prizes!!)
Campsite operators & adventure providers can:
- send clients relevant worksheets along with other information, to use at their discretion, ahead of the camp/excursion
- add footprints to their reference libraries
Emergency teachers can use footprints as a "get out of jail" teaching resource.
Teachers of other subjects (e.g. Health, Science, English) can use worksheets from footprints during their class time, also ahead of the camp/excursion, in order to better integrate the curriculum. (For example, "To build a fire" could be studied in English before a trip to the snow.) The table below shows the subject areas that particular worksheets may inform.
